I like that image of the WHITE FLAG ON WHITE PAPER, it's as if the first content of the writing is already mysteriously present and just waiting to be uncovered. And your poem defines that freedom embodied in the writing process - it's the WHOLE NEW VIEW of things and people writing discovers. And this experience is just the opposite of surrendering to whatever might derail our creativity.
