Now That You're Gone Poem by michael Smajda

Now That You're Gone

When I dwell on sacrifices you've made
For me and our children throughout the years,
So many having gone unrewarded,
I start to sob and I shed guilty tears.

You gave us all unconditional love
From, first, marriage vow to family's start,
I'm sorry I failed to love you enough.
Now, that you are gone, I thank you, sweetheart.
