Now I Need To Pee Poem by Shaun Cronick

Now I Need To Pee

Rating: 5.0

As I write this,
I'm a poorly man.
Try to make it rhyme,
Do the best I can.

Under the weather,
Green around the gills.
I've caught a bug,
With its pains and ills.

A day off work,
The museum can wait.
Till I recover,
Resigned to fate.

Yes I have a cold,
That won't go away.
The damned thing,
Is here to stay.

I've taken pills,
Cough medicine too,
Still feeling down,
Washed out and blue.

Still no cure,
For the common cold.
Whoever finds one,
Will make a pot of gold.

Useless herbal remedies,
So overpriced.
I took a gamble,
I rolled the dice.

I take more pills,
To ease my pain.
When they kick in,
I'll be right as rain.

Rain to get soaked in,
That's how it begun.
Feeling the cold,
I'm back to square one.

There's nothing worse,
Than being ill.
Got to fight it,
Or go downhill.

I take it easy,
Hour by hour.
I'll sweat it out,
In a hot shower.

My tissue box,
I reach and pull.
I open my medicine,
Take a spoonful.

Best remedy of all,
Is endless Assam tea.
Simply works wonders,
Now I need to pee.

A lovely well penned poem that many of us could relate to. We can feel your pain through this very vivid portrayal. Amazingly entertaining write too, Shaun. Beautifully written with great rhyme. Onto my Poem List.
