All alone she did cry,
Silent tears full of pain.
Once full of love and endless passion,
Now all her thoughts laid bare, now all her dreams lay slain.
She snapped herself out of it,
Put it in a box and buried it deep.
Now determined to meet a good man,
One that was faithful, one to forever keep.
She met him on a quiet street,
Whilst picking up her glove.
He stopped and talked their eyes transfixed,
Now finally a soulmate, now finally in love.
