It is very frustrating position to be in. I sympathize. And you have expressed yourself very well indeed. You are a very good writer, Nika. Tom Billsborough
Many have felt this way. Nicely written, Nika (Naught is a more common spelling)
What you list as the topic summs up your situation: ONE SIDE LOVER. Totally unacceptable since love is a union of two into one by sharing. It's the degree of sharing which varies not the FACT of sharing. What to do? The first step is this poem which clarifies the situation in your own mind: the two metaphors in the second stanza are expecially clarifying - labyrinth and merry-go-round. And the poem is written as a spoken address to the guy: could that be the second step? that is, if he's will listen to your concerns. If not, you deserve better - that could be a third step, fully embracing the idea: I DESERVE SOMETHING BETTER IN A RELATIONSHIP. I can see these things by means of your poem, your poem is wise: it brings things and people into clear focus. In writing this poem, you have escaped from the labyrinth, freed yourself from the merry-go-round! !
