Notorious Lane Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Notorious Lane

The notorious lane is dark and gloomy
Even in bright daytime,
It's a heaven for heinous crime,
The gentleman is unaware of this place,
He enters the lonely lane
And soon realizes its strange environment,
Stray dogs begin to bark,
The suspicious eyes of a lean and pale vagabond watch him closely,
"Who are you? " he asks the man,
"I am a gentleman from the great world, " the man answers calmly.
Trembling in fear the vagabond says to him,
"Gentleman! Flee from this obnoxious place immediately,
Go to the another lane of your own class,
Otherwise the wicked villains will come and destroy you instantly;
Don't you know the devils and the gentlemen must walk in different lanes? "
