his name is A.
14 years old
is from Tunis
his father sent him to learn
to bright future Europe
to finally earn
the money that never exists
heard and seen
heartbreaking midnight scene
the country where he arrived stealthily
may not set him out
until he will be 18 years old

imagine where must he eat from, sleep on
and all days and nights long
how must he keep himself alive? !
Not only in summerdays,
also throughout the whole year
Europe can be extremely cold!

These circumstances his father does not know,
the country where he comes from
has a soft climate
his father will never know about his true situation

when pa called,
A. constantly says through his iPhone
it is here OK, Pa

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is no fiction, this is reality as shown on TV last night, about the very young teenagers who are sent to Europe to have a better future, so their fathers beolieve that they wiol get better future. The fact is the reverse. These teenagers steal most of the time to buy food and drink. When their fathers called through phone, they all say that everything is OK. The government where they are may not send them back to their homeland until they have become 18 years old. Four long years they have to survive. A very sad situation. They say despite these worst circumstances, it is in West-Europe better than in own country, where there is nothing to get nor find.Their government does nothing about their life circumstances.Perhaps few hundreds of them in West-Europe, but perhaps also few thousands

I don't have a tv but I do have experience of refugees, and their stories are heart breaking at times. A good 5* for highlighting this.

Heart warming TV reality show is amazingly watched by your kind self. His father sent him to learn more and more in Europe. This poem is very brilliantly penned with much eagerness witnessing the show.

The situation you describe is heartbreaking. Taking care of children should be everyone's business. Thanks for sharing.
