In 2013, I wrote a poem, titled, Y/ Dead or alive, about the same topic from a slightly different viewpoint. The way I see it, is that the care we give, will be what will be passed on. Not in our name, but that is how love is increasing bit by bit in the world. I received so much care and love of my mother, I tend to pass it on in my family life and professional life. The receivers may pass it on to many others without even knowing about the existence of my mom, but what she has done for her family, the goodness, somehow is what will still count a hundred years for now, not only for her great grand children but for the world. A small soft spot deep inside of my believes firmly that every simple kind act done has the potential to cause an avalanche of kindness in this wonderful world. Interesting and thought provoking poem, my friend.

An interesting but depressing point of view. Marcus Aurelius wrote pretty much the same thing long ago.
