Nothing But Space Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Nothing But Space

Before you
Nothing but space occupied
My mind.
Before you appeared,
I fell constantly with nothing
To cushion the fall.
Nothing to orbit.
Now I have a universe thanks to you.
It's safe to say that I was terrified
Not knowing which way was up
Or where I'd end up.
The way you shot into my life
The answer to a prayer comfortably
Slipping through my lips.
I breathe you,
Not knowing the consequence
To find that I am full of life.
Before you, nothing existed here
But space.
Now there is a universe
All thanks to you
