Perfect setting for a nature lover in a summer night's showers which are unpredictable but most welcome and soothing. Thanks a lot.

I'm too tired to go out and drink the wet night. Wonderful lines to end a page of the diary.

This is just a slice of life, a passing moment of no urgent significance, the sort of facts of the day that populate a diary, AND YET the last five lines raise the whole situation to significance. There is a poignance in waiting patiently all day to enjoy the promised rain and then when it comes you're too tired to enjoy it. Such is life: It blunders along with no concern for our feelings but at moments like this we realize how delicate and precious those feelings truly are.

Hi Nosheen, ....I lie half awake in midnight's soothing arms listening to the rain.......... Now sleep sits heavy on my eye lids I am too tired to go out And drink the wet night beautifully written, with the right images to capture the mood. Of course, everyone enjoys watching rain from ones varanda or eagerly kissing the windshield, when one drives, or holding one in a tight embrace if one gets out and get drenched. But as you have written rains is most captivating, when she keeps whispering to you in the midnight, without disturbing your half-sleep. Exquisite images. Enjoyed reading. Thank you.

Nice to hear that midnight soothes you. Some fear the wee hours when no barrier exists between themselves and their thoughts. When life becomes all too real, when mortality stirs the curtains. A reminder of how near it is. Yes nice to hear that you are soothed and within the invisible rush of that sudden shower. The days dust is weighed down, the grass droops, the limbs sag and the heavy eyelids succumb and drink in the night.......so well expressed, your writing illustrates, creates and then closes like a well worn book before drifting into blissful sleep.......splendid Nosheen,

Delightful images. Rain is even better when we wait and look forward to it. Sort of like a lot of the good things in life.
