Not The Way To Teach Children To Play Poem by The Original Tom Maxwell

So much talk about taking guns away,
That will give more power to the government,
And will not stop the hate and killings in any way.
Slowly Religious beliefs, morals, respect, are leaving,
Society today, they are guidance to your conscience,
Right or wrong, helpful or hurtful, Patience, all which,
Have to be taught to people, and shown in life each day,
Sad to say the largest educator to children today, is,
Television and video games, sex and violence, regulated,
By the government, the same one's that need an excuse,
To take guns away. No praying in schools today, children,
Can give the one finger wave, and stay in class all day.
Humans accept and believe, what ever they hear and see,
The most along the way, so many today not being taught,
To pray, most could not sit quiet, without a cell phone,
For One hour a week to pray. Eliminate history, so the same,
Mistakes are made, we are heading backwards, years ago,
Every man had guns on their side, in those days, today they,
Carry them packed away, This is not the way to teach children,
To play.
