Glad to see, dear Richard that things are better now. Your excellent poet-person deserves the best!
Dear Richard, a poem that expresses deep 'angst' of life and death. Very beautifully penned.......Top score
Receiving such a very positive appraisal of this poem from one of the highest esteemed poets is indeed a great honour. And especially so much more meaningful because the poem is part of my first book in The Kerouac Project. So many THX, Geeta!
Sometimes it is very difficult to face the ugly situations and you feel low and depressed. Such thoughts come into mind. Nice expression of frustration. Loved the ink.
Very grateful for your visit, comments and loving of my poem, Poet Panda!
Thank you very much, Lorraine Black for adding my poem to your favourites!
3) That project consists of a series of books in which the deceased Kerouac is speaking through me. Imaginary or otherwise. It's taking a huge toll! But well worth it! Sincerest thx for your concern!
2) They belong to Jack Kerouac. And are a part of a complex body of work titled The Kerouac Project (Kerouac Series) .
Dear Sandra and Bharati: I am very deeply moved by your very emotional comments. And I'm happy to inform you that the feelings expressed in the poem are not mine.
Not to conform to the social restrictions if its not good to my conscience.True.Well penned.
As Sandra Feldman said in her comment, you write beautiful poems and live through them.Recently I have seen you as one of the most active poet of this Site and read your beautiful poems. The difficult situation will soon dissolve as you keep immersed in your writings.
Sincere thanks to both you and Sandra for your AWESOME comments. And for your sincere concern. The 'difficult situation' is being resolved. In ways that I couldn't have even imagined! 'God works in mysterious ways'.
A beautiful poem because it expresses your anger and frustrations so powerfully.Sometimes we go through situations that seem deathlike and we throw up our hands in despair(Part-1) .
Bharati, the anger and frustrations I own up to. But the deathlike feeling belongs to Kerouac. And in memory to him, and to Daniel Brick, The Kerouac Project will be a big success!
Dear Richard, don't speak that way because you live, live, live thru your Poetry, which is and will stay alive, So write, write, write, your beautiful poems and feelings that will never die. It's the very best a poet can do!
Sandra, the inspiration, support and encouragement that I've been getting from you, Bharati, M.J., LeeAnn, Susan Williams and so many others is what's producing a plethora of poems in my golden years. A debt of gratitude to all of you!
Magnificent, Richard! This poem expresses what each soul confronts when facing mortality.
Thank you, Dillip for adding my other worldly poem to your favourites!
Every word in this poem is 100% relatable, it is hard to mask ourselves the way others want us to, in order to survive. The last line just hit home that mortality is its own isolation. God be with you Richard so that you my continue your tasks of providing us these gems.
You've left me speechless, Kevin! So many many THX to you for your very insightful commentary! And for your last line...that means the world to me!
