From your description I gather he considers himself the master carpenter and you the helper. In this situation he must apologize as the one supposedly in charge. He probably will. If not, move on. Life is too short. End of comment.

Holy Sh*t! Probably a good thing you weren't door to door nuclear missile salesmen. (Or circumcision surgeons...what with cutting it an inch short and all) It may not be the same as a stiff drink or a shrink visit, but writing can not only release some of that tension but also give the writer some insight and perspective.
Good thing you wrote this down, some other people would find less productive ways of venting that might end in a cop visiting your home, (not that I know of such things) fortunately I have never had any conflict with a co worker where the extreme was this kind of blow up, but its been either grocery stores, retail or offices, however when I have been a mover with my Dad things can get hairy if things are not done proper, there's been some words of war throwing, that have led to a no mans land of silence. So I get it to some extend. Good thing to articulate this way, hope everything is patched up, its good to end things on a good note.
