Not Here To Please Poem by Aubrey E Drummond

Not Here To Please

I don't write to please you
No audience do I clamor for
(That's a lie)
No group do I wish to please
No hallmark chin do I wish to win

I write mainly to please myself
(This is true)
And to free my troubled mind
No grand paycheck do I seek to hold
I will write until my last breath ends

Now if you wish to join me on my quest
Feel free to join right in
Just remember I don't write for your
Soul to win
I am just writing to free my mind
And hopefully, release all my sorrows
To the winds
