Not Great To Me Poem by Francis Duggan

Writers looked on as great by many do not seem great to me
Through different eyes we see things differently
A different meaning in each thing we see
Suppose we would be boring if on all things we did agree
Yes we all look at things in a different way
And your opinion is as good if not better than mine any day
I'm not a literary critic so my opinions do not hold weight
And I don't feel qualified to say what's not good or what's great
I have my opinions and them I do express
But my opinions are my own nonetheless
So many great writers that the critics celebrate
With their gift of words great beauty they create
And what is good to many not so good to me
That's life one suppose with that most would agree.
