The monster waves crashing against the shore
Overwhelming men fishing in the sea, all aware
The children play hilarious, dazzled, unaware
Love of the sea awakens springs of wonder, stirrings rare
Innocence may trap children, the grown ups dare
Driven by the urge to earn daily bread, honest and pure
The divine writ runs: ''Man does not live by bread alone''
Paper boats recede, ships majestic emerge, a mega venture
Grant O Lord, the benediction to soar up as well as sail across
Always fed by notions, extra decent and human to the core
