Not Answering The Door
Maybe I wanted to
Rekindle a relationship
Well, not exactly a relationship
Just maybe a friendship
I don't understand why you said
We could still be friends
If You didn't mean it
Is that just something people say
Because they think it's
Something they think
You want to hear
How come you
Didn't answer the door
And kindly say
You can't talk right now
Or that you
Don't want to talk to me
Even if it was
The devil himself
Knocking on my door
I would of
Had the decency
To tell him to go away

I think it is just something people say Bethany..I once had a friend where things had sadly gone wrong and she did call me so that we could say goodbye, which was better than many do..but all the way through the call even though i knew I would never hear from her again she was saying things like maybe she would come to visit me. Endings are hard to be honest about even when people do want them..I love the poem..well expressed
