Not A Single Soul. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Not A Single Soul.

Rating: 5.0

The land is flooded with creeping fear.
Bland eyes are dried out of compassionate tear.
Men have lost their prayers in the pits,
Have been shaken out of their wits;
How they hope for merciful death intervene
To get their disheveled children off the scene.
The land is flooded with creeping fear.
Bland eyes are dried out of compassionate tear.
Animals have deserted the hostage land,
Men's follies they can't fully understand.
Birds high in the sky watch the damage done
By the barbarous hordes of centuries gone.
Civilized worlds like birds sit and watch calmly
Mere spectators of a carnage between family.
The land is flooded with creeping fear,
Blooded, and not a single soul about near
To raise a voice of protest loud and clear.
Bland eyes are dried out of compassionate tear
And not a single bold soul to stop the fear.

Nice poem about what is happening now in the world. Without compassion and fighting our ego, We could not live in peace.
