Not A Path To Heaven Poem by Randy McClave

Not A Path To Heaven

You can always do good works
You can also be baptized as well,
And you can give handshakes with great perks
And you can help the lost who had fail.
You can go to church everyday
And you can help others with their charity,
You can listen to pastor's pray
And you never curse or speak with vulgarity.
You can help the needy and feed the poor
And you never miss service or mass,
You can even wear a crucifix or a rosary forever more
And you can even teach a Sunday school class.
You can spiritually do your communion
And your known as a great and caring child by your parent,
And also you're a loving and spiritual human
You believe the Bible is infallible or inerrant.
You have many good and faithful family and friends
And you're well respected by the Church,
You always help others to make their amends
And no one do you ever besmirch.
You always happily help people with loans
And you never, ever break a promise
Never at others do you ever accuse or cast stones
And your not known as a doubting Thomas.
You can be a good standing politician
And you are the one whose always positively thinking
You can be supported by a Godly foreign mission
And you are never smoking or ever drinking.
You never are yelling or judging or cursin
And you even teach the "Parable Of The Leaven",
You are indeed a very good person
But, these acts won't ever lead you to Heaven.
