Not A Mockery Poem by D.N. Rebb

Not A Mockery

Rating: 5.0

This is not a mockery
But a tribute
Who needs to dance properly?
Please, continue

With tongue in cheek,
Moves that don't need to be tweaked
Dancing cheek to cheek
A very unique technique

Laughing uncontrollably
Everyone understands,
Or supposedly,
This is the circumstance

No one is really judging
The joke's on us
With moves so loving
What a klutz!

But as a tribute
Not a mockery
To life, we contribute
Quite the contrary

Let us have our fun,
A mocking tribute, simply outdone

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
a misunderstood mockery was actually meant as a tribute

I can totally relate to your poem and your notes! In the end, who cares how you're dancing...as long as you're having fun! Very enjoyable poem, Rebb!
