Nosey Poem by Dorsey Baker

Nosey

A warty old man
Eating his breakfast
Of scrambled eggs
Bacon and toast
Begins
To peep out of his
Kitchen window
A fine young lady
He sees
Walking down the road

A hard wind has begun to blow
Heavy as the ocean
Deep dark rain is
Pouring down
From very cloudy skies

The young lady is struggling to
Hold her dress down
Because
She does not want to
Expose her legs
To the elements
