I enjoyed reading this beautiful poem that has a great story & flow to it. It was nice to see the happy ending too.

To make your reader cry for the Northern Bird is great writing Laurie, even having read to the end and knowing the outcome, the tears continued through another read...a favourite - soooo beautiful

Your opening line is brilliant Laurie setting the scene for a disaster, but it had a happy ending after all, thank goodness! You have written this wonderful poem with a sensitive and empathetic pen, caring for a northern bird, lost yet found again. Simply beautiful.......10 Karin Anderson

It brought tears to mu eyes......how beautiful and poetic and exiting end, knowing that the bird is safe, protected by a kind stranger..........

This one is so sweet, I was really expecting the worse and instead seen the best outcome. A warm thoughtful insight for sure 10++

I love this one, so sad, but im glad for the happy ending of it, easily flowed and well written

A sad story which brings tears, despite the happy ending, though what would happen to the bird when it was strong and ready to fly again, far away from the flock, remains in my thoughts.

Your poems are food for the soul and mine is always in a happy peaceful contentment after reading them. Though sad sometimes there is a hopeful romanticism to them. Wonderful. Another for my favs :) Thank you.
