No-One Can See You Cry Poem by Paula Glynn

No-One Can See You Cry

It seems the walls have eyes
But no one can see you cry
No one can see your upset and tears
While you taste your ever going fears
Time doesn't erase

And you wonder when happiness
Will take the tears place
You wonder how they know
Your private business
They have no right to know

Their spies to follow you
Invading your personal space
Trying to steal your personal power
That you've worked for years
To keep in your night time sleep

Your dreams and ambitions
To be soul deep
But your pain loses your inner sight
And your peace of mind
Even when you're always nice to yourself

And when the clock hits night time
Your eyes run with the tears
Even though you tried all those years
And you feel they can see you cry
Even though in the day your eyes stay dry

But your pain is their gain
Unable to hide your tears and fears
Tears pouring from your lonely eyes
Never ending until you fall asleep
But they are the blind ones

Because with the tears
You have become
Stronger and emotive
You have become kind
And now you're forever wise.
