Non-Representation

Rating: 5.0

panel
five white men
white perspective
subject of debate
VOC heroes
much clueless talk
iconoclasm
complete story
blah blah blah
something essential
was missing
instigators of debate
legitimate questions
ridiculed
interpret in context
once again not
heard and acknowledged
who not?
screaming historians
so smug and
patronizing
so objective!
cannot even see the
absence of
black people
apparently no need
not worth being heard
from the outset sidelined
by white bigoted and
myopic stance
how to break through?
revolution and not
softly softly
white senility fighting
rearguard action
fighting a lost battle
their minds cannot be
decolonized
our society can

An insightful piece on racism well conceived and nicely brought forth with conviction. A thought provoking rendition. Thanks for sharing.
