The jaunty rhyme and rhythm of the form belies (enhances even) the deeper rationale of the subject matter - a real pleasure to read. S :)
A very graceful and touching write, reminded me Enya songs in its beauty of simplicity. Thanks for sharing with us. Yelena M.
Short and simple. It almost makes me look at it as a kind of playful riddle that's just personal opinion not sure I can explain my reaons why I think that.
Nice and simple John, Choose a riddle without an answer and you have perpetual motion, you could have taken this another 10 stanzas but you have the genius of Youth to know just when to stop. Not like some of us Olde Worlde Guys who just ramble on and on in love with the sound of our own prose (Me Included) +10 Kind Regards Philip
Simple, yet well worded poem. Seven on this one from me. God Bless, Linda
This is a thoroughly enchanting read. It has all the musicality and underlying sweetness of something by A A Milne. There are many unnecessary words cluttering up this poetry site. How refreshing to read something like this. Bravo! Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
The wind is moving all around me and I wonder where. Fun to read.
Loved this one John. It felt as if the wind was blowing me as I read it! Great work! 10 love Karin
i loved your close relationship to the nature.. the wind? great observation and wisely choose... yeah you are right none knows but God. there is a wisdom in its moves and its silence... it whispers to us about that wisdom but a few who know its language.. thank you for sharing such a great poem.. keep it up!
Hi John - Excellent structure - rhythm (will recite at our poetry reading) and rhyme a perfect poem. The wind is very elusive and it moves the Air around the planet through uneven warming of the Planet creating of areas of high and low pressure. It has many many meteorological functions and plays a key role in maintaining equilibrium in atmospheric composition to allow the life processes in the biosphere. Remember none of the gases in the atmosphere escape they just circulate due to differential heating by the sun causing air circulation (wind) . Without the gaseous atmosphere there could of course be no wind. V 1 Planet Earth has just the right atmospheric composition to sustain life so in essence the wind owes its existence to the earth's chemical composition. V 2 By a miracle of its own existence the snow is carried and deposited in the Mountains - which makes them good for skiing! V 3 The way in which Gaia (The Living Earth - communicates with all the Flora and Fauna - except perhaps Man - is a bigger mystery) Study Native American Folk Lore and you will learn how Brother Wind communicates with Brother Crow to their mutual advantage. That's how GAIA works! I am an Environmental Scientist and I encouraged my students to write poems like this to question the wisdom (so called) of Modern Conservation Science. The Native Americans treated natural things as an integral part of their tribe and thereby revered and protected their natural habitats. Since the Industrial Revolution - Man has exploited and polluted the Earth irreversibly and despite Kyoto he is doing too little too late. Thanks for the poem a gem - alas I can only score it TEN. Yours in poetry - JOHN.

I really love this poem. It's pure magic. Keep rereading it but it's absolutely perfect.
