Noble knight
There once was a knight
Shining bright
Who was searching for a bride.
He once met a woman,
As bright as the sun,
And as beautiful as a rose.
She captured his heart,
But how could he show it?
How could he show it?
For he did not know her
And he did not know if she cared
A knight as he,
was weakened by a woman,
simple, and lovely.
He could not ask her to marry
For he did not know her,
But he wanted to know,
And he needed to know
As years went by,
He got to know,
How lovely she truly was.
They fell in love,
The truest you could think of.
They finally were,
For it is said,
That they were engaged to be wed.
The day finally came,
The day that nothing,
Would ever be the same.
That their love,
would finally take wing.
But then it happened,
The message came.
The king had called,
upon our great knight,
That he would fight,
So, he must leave,
and say good by.
He must leave her standing,
His beautiful bride.
So our noble knight,
Put up quite a fight!
He was fearsome,
He was bold,
He was clever,
For the story told.
But our great knight
Who had once,
shined so bright,
Left this world,
And left his bride.
Now she stands on there altar alone
with the ring on her hand and,
With tears in her eyes,
As she remembers,
Her brave, and noble knight
