Not by words of verbal narrative,
Let an action be judged by motive,
Let courts cut down old pomp,
Privilege, needless romp,
And be warm to views vowed and votive.

What if the same mistake that the governments of the day make in laws of sedition, courts repeat in defending their privilege in contempt of court related cases? What if fundamental rights of citizens are not defended? What if in a democracy the voice of people has the last say? A contempt of court case is currently before the Supreme Court of India.

Content-wise, it's an important poem in limerick form. If we go by a series of judgements pronounced by the apex court in recent times questions are bound to be raised. The cases relating to the violation of fundamental rights do not qualify for an early hearing. Roster is also a bone of contention. 'Your Honor' is no longer upholding their honour or the honour of an independent judiciary. Thanks a lot.

A very powerful critique of our judiciary esp. in the context of the archaic sedition law which was enacted to sut the colonial masters during Raj days. The voter which is called 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata' by the wily politicians has been reduced to be disposable thing- use and throw. Thanks.
