I am here in these ruins
Among the steps and wallows of the kings
Where valleys were born out of mocking hills
Tardy winds took sands from the west
I am stopping by the chamber of whispers
Where mortal remains have survived centuries
Brooding their tales, hardships got the better of
Lonely pharaohs, sleeping in the future
The feet feel the heat, of years in sacrifice
Moving with the winds, and the waters
Rubbing your temples in frothy embrace
Stealing you from the pangs of the past
Of many births, this one is entrenched
Between, one earthly hope is flying
In the caress, no past to cheer,
Living in the present, one moment at a time
