No Need To Knock Poem by Raj Dronamraju

No Need To Knock

It helps to know of an overlapping future
People and ideas and objects made by people
Colliding and reshaping in free and equal exchange
Resulting in the destruction of any type of boundary

And one must no longer seek an invitation
To walk across a threshold and share some viewpoints with a neighboring mind
On the shapes they fit perspective into

I'm not bowing down to anything that feels like superstition
And I'm not assigning any paranormal powers to the human animal
The body is what Caesar expects rendered to him

Make this the day I stretch and meet you
The phrase "come unto me" sounds selfish
Better, let's come unto each other

Make this the day I blow off steam
And come barreling through your closed up thoughts
Knocking them over like bowling pins
And like bowling pins, they'll all be picked up before the next frame
