The situation or circumstance is truly quite
dismal, desperate, dire...very alarming indeed

As I was saying before and was not abruptly interrupted-but
pleasantly and politely....u stated, I was a person to ignore

But I am the only one speaking, as I was saying before

The person in the back of the room is only taking a nap...
any noise coming from that direction is merely a snore

And nothing more
