No Need For Alarm Poem by Nellie Isabelle Steward Cooper

No Need For Alarm

The situation or circumstance is truly quite
dismal, desperate, dire...very alarming indeed

As I was saying before and I was not interrupted
but pleasantly and politely ignored

I am the only one speaking, as I was saying before

The person in the back of the room is only taking a nap...
any noise coming from that direction is merely a snore

And nothing more
