No Man Is An Angel Poem by Ogolla Enock

No Man Is An Angel

No man is an angel.
No man is infallible.
Our experiences may be singular
But our story is similar.

Everyone possesses in them
the power to do good and evil.
Whatever a person can do or did.
Anyone can do and do it better or worse.

So when you see men arise and shine,
Dare to follow the trail.
But when others compromise or fall,
Don't be quick to curse.

But ask yourself if you've done better
under similar circumstances?
You are not any better until you've
been put to test and proved otherwise.

More often than not, the difference
Between the average and the outstanding,
the fallen and the standing isn't age,
position or religion but an opportunity.

Yet time and chance happen to all men.
To showcase their substance and strength.
The question is, what are you made of?
How will you measure when put to test?
