No Hamburger And Fries Poem by Dorsey Baker

No Hamburger And Fries

Girl you went out
late last night
to eat
at somebody else's house
they gave you something to eat
but it sure wasn't
no hamburger and fries

Baby I know
exactly where you went
when you left
the house
late last night
looking for something
to satisfy
your appetite

and I knew that
you wouldn't come back
until morning light

Girl I didn't have
what you wanted
to satisfy your hunger
so you went out looking
and you found it
at somebody else's house
yes you ate at somebody else's house
and it wasn't no
hamburger and fries!
