No Escape From The True Self Poem by Mystic Qalandar

No Escape From The True Self

Peace settles in the heart, stillness in the mind—
a secret unveiled in silence.
An eternal current draws me inward;
Through the narrow corridors of thought,
at the unseen gate of time,
I unfold in the soft murmurs of light.
From the pearl of fidelity flows a vow—
there is no escape from the true self.

I have calmed the storm of thought,
shed the illusions of reason and desire,
and walked the long road toward awakening.
This yearning was carved in the marrow of being
before that ancient question echoed:
"Am I not your Lord? "
There is no escape from the true self.

Now, breath by breath, I rise,
gathering the lost awareness
that slept behind the veils of dream.
In the realm of the Eternal Unseen,
I remember what I always was—
there is no escape from the true self.

No longer do I wander in beauty's mirror;
each reflection reveals the dawn of Truth.
There is no escape from the true self.
The earth itself no longer plays in shadow;
all vision glows with the light of the Real.
There is no escape from the true self.

I play with the flame of divine love—
a fire untouched by the self's hand,
an ancient spark entrusted within the heart,
teaching me that light is not born of flame.
This fire of love devours—
illusion, shame, and separation,
turning the false to ash.
There is no escape from the true self.

In this knowing lies my essence,
the quiet pulse of life itself.
I am—
and in that being, I know: Ana al-Haqq.
There is no escape from the true self.
