No Chance Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

No Chance

No chance

I will relieve your strain
Never to love you again
but the letters of your name
are in my soul all the same
Your first name horizontally,
coated in abject melancholly
The second a vertical crucifix
encased in a cruel mix
There my love is crucified
Blood dripping in a crucible
Congealed in hatred at the foot
My emotion covered in soot
In my heart resides gallons of pain
Getting back together is insane
