No Advice, Please Comments

Do we need any type advice from others? Why other’s plight concern us and bother? Are those only meant for lip services? Not to learn for self from other’s misses

very true poem, some times advices are real irritating, when delivered at the wrong time and place... i enjoyed reading this poem..

thought the meter is not really constant or traceable.. it is good. the rhymes are good. so it read ok.. and the underlying message stands strong.

You know, sir, I generally enjoy your verse for its thoughtfulness. What I notice, however, is that your writing tends to be too abstract and general, not sufficiently grounded in concrete situations, although what you speak of has truth and merit. Moreover, grammar and syntax can use some improvement. Your poems, also, can be shortened. Am I to understand that these are translations of your original poems? If so, I'm almost sure they are very, very good. So, let's move on to the main theme of the poem. If I understand you correctly, advice, besides its valuable content, must also be about proper timing. As a would-be advisor, I have to take into account the mind set of the person whom I may wish to advise. If I find he doesn't seem receptive, if he's arrogant, then wisdom dictates that I remain silent. If he's my friend, and of noble character, then I will advise him, even though what I say may sound harsh and insensitive. He will understand that good advice will only help him improve. And he'll thank me for it. And sir, because I respect your work and because I feel you're a serious man, I hope you will take my advice: ground your poems a little more, and work on grammar and syntax. I thank you for another thoughtful piece.
