Nine Haiku Poem by Germina Melius

Nine Haiku

someone in the yard
woodpecker silences
the snowman

winter in April
springtime delayed
neither knows temperance

missing jewels
on the seabed clam with pearls
accomplice

drifters in the morning
mum and dad
asleep

two girls and pythagorus
old friends
solving the equation

drought in many wars
missing families and peace
lonely child tears up

songbirds on the road
soldiers singing about home
boy waves in silence

glows in the darkness
thrives in the storm
resilient woman

bright morning star
wake up my children
death asleep
