Night-Walking Is A Deterrent Poem by james watkin

Night-Walking Is A Deterrent

Night-walking is a deterrent
Against day's scarecly outrun
Thought-intrusion. My abbey in
The huge rainy dark have won.

Unlike a lit street there's no end
To an abandoned feeling;
Of front, stripped. A not unadverse
Worldly lustre of peeling.
