Whilst lying in my cosy bed at night
watching the moon lazily cross the sky
I hear the sounds of the tremulous winds
passing through trees with a soft, winsome sigh
relaxed and rested my mind wanders on
hearing once again the voice of my choir
singing with an harmonic sympathy
the songs of the earth I'd learned to admire
nature's sweet blessings surround me once more
her gifts ever blending in song and sound
a peace that transcends brings comfort and joy
in equal measure aid rest so profound
