A brilliant and powerful poem with a witty picture that depicts the greediness of those who are in power! Another masterstroke, Chinedu!

The natural wealth of a country could never, never be felt by the people if those who are vested with the power to govern are corrupt. Corruption and greed bring darkness to a nation.

Part 2 And the fall-out of the story is how the citizen is reduced to abject poverty and is forced to go for high-way robbery, to eke out a living, if it can be called so. A country that has to deal with total anarchy. But hope remains!

Very powerful expression of the decaying political and social system, ethics in public life. On how the freedom is hyjacked. How loot becomes legitimate. How a rich nation with sound economical fundamentals can be reduced to bankruptcy by a few looters who are rulers, with their henchmen. (Contd)

Powerful poem about a very complex political volcano that South Africa has been these past decades. Written brilliant, but I would like to see it in a book sometime to read it more slowly without interrupting ads. Wonderful history of S. Africa and a generalized map of political revolutions and their fall outs.

A country with immense wealth of natural resources and manpower is having a head on plunge into poverty.... all because of the corruption, the brazen squandering of resources, endemic conflicts and the degrading submission of people to authority. This is an eye opener to any nation! A powerful poem with an amazing diction and an incisive probing into the veiled political malaise, disregarded by a slumbering nation! Top marks

This poem gives an amazing insight into the depleting political and social structure of the Post colonial Africa! A continent that has been slogging under the colonial rule when freed from the clutches of foreign rule, there was excitement and great jubilation! But this euphoria veiled 'Danger Signs'! People who came into the helm of authority blasted democratic values and grew into autocrats and there started Africa's slow and steady move into doom.
