Nightingale Sings Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Nightingale Sings

Rating: 5.0

Arise, my little girl.
It is now your time to shine.
Before duchess, duke and earl;
Your act shall be divine.

They cannot know what awaits them.
They cannot know the bliss.
One fiery, brilliant gem
In such a night as this!

Sublime poetry flows
From music in her heart-
As the sunset glows,
And then at last departs.

Wander little nightingale,
Upon the seas of night,
To tell your lovely, love tale,
Beneath a spotlight.

What a perfect thrill
Waits within the wings.
All the world is still,
When my little nightingale sings!
