Night Moves By Bob Seger As A Sonnet Poem by Suzanne Hayasaki

Night Moves By Bob Seger As A Sonnet

Shall I remind you of those summer nights
When we were young and I without renown
And we would meet out past the city lights
And I would spread a blanket on the ground.
No love felt I for you or you for me
And yet we searched each other out to grope
For answers to some urgent mystery
That seemed to offer glimmerings of hope.
The summer nights were sweet and charged with youth
But years have damped the passion of that flame
And as I come to clearly see the truth
Of what I've lost in my pursuit of fame
I hear the rumbling of old thunder call
And look for you in the muted shades of fall.
