Carnival Triump, a ultra luxury cruise ship
with 4200 guests and 650 staff members
exceptional naval engineering, novel features
a floating beauty, seven-star amenities, safety A' class
on 15th February night, the ship went ‘immobile'
due to major fire incidents inside the engine rooms
‘Chakka- jam' - all basic services to a grinding halt
no power, no water, no food, no shower, everything stinky
People did not panic, as they were strolling in Gulf of Mexico
architects of the ship should have had this basic doubt
as the ship's every chartered trip was always, in safer bays
in times of need, they could move quickly to a nearer port.

after a 5 day-long wait in the high seas
shabby tug boats arrived for rescue work
‘dead magnificent dream liner' was pulled to the shores
a shameful voyage for the crippled ship, nothing to boast of

Now, the celebrated, distinguished ship is berthed in a dry dock
requiring massive overhaul, replacements under the hull
expensive and attractive,14- floor upper structure will gather dust
as  the   vessel  in  whole   will   be  back  after  a  year;
if only passing stringent certification tests.
The owner-company's earlier expectation crashed against the rocks
They are now in for a huge accumulated loss
Moral:
Core values (behind the hidden hull) always count
The outward show (finer ship's super structure) has no worth of its own.

A beautiful poem with a marvellous lesson to teach! As you try to establish, core values always count and external grandeur has no lasting worth! ! The metaphor of a ship's voyage with man's journey in life is very striking! ! Thanks for inviting to your site!
