New Zealand Road Trip (Pt 4) Poem by Alison Gaff

New Zealand Road Trip (Pt 4)

So today's a day of rest
As I pack my things away
For it's not long before I leave
I wish longer I could stay.
We've done air balloon and boats and planes
And many miles by car,
Have had a busy holiday
And travelled near and far.

Sadly we didn't get to go
Walking on Frans Josefs ice
For the glacier is unstable
And if you fell it wouldn't be nice.
We also missed the Tree Top Walk
Puzzling World and Giants House too,
But it really didn't matter
With so many thing to do.

What New Zealand lacks in animals
It makes up with the views,
The ever changing endless skies
In shades of greys and blues.
Have seen coasts and caves and beaches
In wind and rain and sun
It really has been so magical
And we did have so much fun.

How to sum up my holiday
It's really been a blast
Was great to do the things we did
Special memories for ever will last.
One day I know I'll come again
'Cos there is so much more to see,
But I will not come on my own
I'll bring the family with me.................... Can't wait! ! !
