New Zealand Road Trip 2014 (Pt 2)

We've cruised the 'Sounds' with Fjord Penguins
Spotted Dolphins and Sperm Whales too
Saw the mighty majestic Albatross
Soaring free in the sky like you.
Some mountains they were snow capped,
While others wrapped in cloud
And waterfalls came tumbling down
Crashing hard and loud

The Keas are such funny birds
As they strut to and fro
Always trying to find mischief
Causing mayhem where ever they go! !
Arrow Town was small and quaint
Its trees are all a glow
With scarecrows dressed on every street,
It's their Autumn Festival... don't you know

We trekked Queenstowns' Hill Time Walk
Placing a cairn along the way.
With no car as it was sick
A round of crazy golf we'd play.
The Queenstown gondola is a cable car
With a gradient oh so steep
We rode up to see the sunset
Before back to the cabin and sleep

Glenorchy was a little gem
With its' small frost covered pier
Black Swans and geese on the lagoons
And Paradise Ducks for ever near.
Some roads were long and twisty
Threading through the mountain pass,
Overlooking gorge and forest
Giving views of mirrored lakes like glass.

We stumbled across Paradise Tea Gardens
It was a strange enchanted place
With flowers, statues and a fishy loo,
Which put a smile on every ones face. We've seen harriers out a hunting
And pukekos by the road
Saw Rosellas, Bellbirds and silver-eye
But we never saw a toad! !
