Music, dance, parties
handshakes, hugs and kisses
to usher the New year's eve;
same air, same water,
same moon, same sunshine and truth
but different dreams, different lovers
as new year sets in with jubilations;
old hearts with old promises
new kids with new aspirations;
what delights is the greatness of time
that has passed and is still in hand,
what thrills are the dreams of yesterday
waiting in queue to come true tomorrow;
yet on the bridges of hopes
in the gaps of adventure, nothing gets lost
as reality gives new dimension
by an elixir called new year
that promotes euphoria, an exuberance
to allot oneself opportunites
to stage his show and win his act
or to run the race and feel content
whether in victory or just in participation;
and as months change to years and years to tears
man and his might can never overtake fate
yet passion evokes a thrill in his heart
which man nominates as his will power
to re-calculate, re-adjust and re-enact his life.
