A philosophical and beautifully crafted poem that focuses on what the New Year will bring. 'Time always stands for change, from bad to worse and back to good. Fortune travels on a wheel...' 10 Karin

A new year, A new decade. A new century. A new Millenium. What happened to this day is that not enough to manage without chasing beyond that? If this day I live well will not all the days be well lived? ---10

We need not interpret the goodness or badness that a new year is going to bring us. Do we interpret the birth of our children as bad omen or misfortunes? Everybody is happy in one way or the other. Life is an admixture. Everybody is afterall living on hope and expectation. May our hopes come true. Your have brought out all these points in your fine poem. Life is only a problem at the level of interpretation for most of us. Otherwise, life is a swift flow of currents.10

An again..its my mother and me..enjoying your poems together.... she said 'Sahi Baat hai' thrice! ! over these lines.... time always stands for change, from bad to worse and back to good, better and best, that reveals a great truth, change as ultimate truth for all of us, for fortune travels on a wheel, even prior to inventing one, and that leaves us with a hope for change, oh dear, let us then welcome the new year for who knows, it might herald a new change, new hope SAHI BAAT HAI! ! ! ! I am sure we are reading it tomorrow again just like 'after the deluge'....its going to be a long discussion tomorrow! thanks for posting great poems like these you are truly an inspiration

The beauty in the word of “new”. It is always hopeful...yes, the new clothes, the smell of fresh baked bread, the new smile on the elders, the wishful siren of the temple/church the attitude of humanity dressed with hope. Well done my friend, well done. thanks 10+++
