Everything if you add to it, increases
One plus one is two
Except for Age,
If you add to it,
it increases in youth
And decreases in the old aged

How old are you in the New Year?
I asked a young man
One year increased, he replied
And I asked the same question
to an old man
He replied: One year decreased in my age

I thought and came to this conclusion:

The young man is one year older than he used to be
And the old man has approached one year nearer
to his fate, or No Longer to be!

The young looking forward to 2023
Defying
The old looking backward to 2022
Sighing!
