New Sun Poem by Christopher Fladd

New Sun

The dark haze of twilight lifted away
From beautiful night, into gorgeous day
Without it, I would be a helpless pawn,
But in thanks to the sunlight on the lawn
Stretch out my body and mind to go on.
(seeing as body and mind are one)

For today, this day, just begun, falling
Upon us a fresh side of the sun. Patiently thawing
the dusk into dawn, is stunning, for unknowing
Standing in awe, peace can be found in a world at war.
morning dew comes on grass… Forevermore…
