New Day Poem by Ben Littlechild

New Day

The dawns beauty is dazzling to all those see

For the ones that awake at the early hour to sip their tea.

With chorus of birds, guardians greeting the coming day

To drive away the darkness and keep night at bay.

Its warming feel like a gentle boil

To gently stir the senses and awaken the slumbers

Rising from their beds to strive and toil

To work the fields or in cities numbers

The morning is done, the sun is waning

Like the person at work, the energy is fading

To return to our homes and embrace the night

The guardians retire and await the return of the suns might.
