Never War Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Never War

This conflagration has no place in the history books
It is a senseless and brutal attack on common sense
A disastrous vandalization of the human spirit
A poisonous sting into the heart of humanity
This war is an abomination in the eyes of God
A dark manuscript of wickedness and selfishness
This war is turmoil, despair and sorrow
This war is unforgivable, unwanted and horrible
It is a scavenger attack on innocent women and children
A brutal rape of the human ethos
This war is tasteless, sour, bitter and vile in all its flavors
It is a disgusting display of evil
A crime against humanity
This war shatters the podium of common sense
Rupturing the membranous garment of the mind
This war is a cancerous destruction of the human heart
A malignant tumour inside humanity's consciousness
This war is not part of human progress
It is a shallow grave for our collective conscience
A dark blot in the book of reason
This war is pure madness
